Fish Aquariums Tanks
is electrical tape bad for fish or aquariums?
hi,
i got a thermometer for my fish tank but there was a hole on the top of it. (there is a glass casing with the actual thermometer in it but the red stuff is exposed if the glass on the outside is broken) its the kind that you suction cup to the side. the only tape i have is electrical black tape, which solved the hole problem, but i am concerned that it might hurt my fish.
will it?
Most likely it will not cause harm to your fish tank, but why take the chance. The adhesive in the tape may leach into the water causing harm to your fish. I beleive thermometers are under $5. To be safe I’d just buy a new one.. HTH.
